How to setup Demographic Field

The demographic fields are designed to collect personal demographic data such as Name, Email, Company, Location, Dietary requirements, and so forth.

It also can be used to collect any additional information about an attendee such as "How do you hear about us".

Setup 

• To set up a demographic field you only need to:
  • On Field XX, select a field from the drop-down list
  • On Field XX Caption, give a Caption to be shown in the form
  • You can make the field required by turning on Field XX Required to "Yes"
• After you setup up all the options at the end of the page click "Save"

Recommendations

• When you are setting up all the demographic fields in the form we highly recommend leaving 1 or 2 demographic fields in between, this means if you set up field 1, the next one you should set up for the next information should be field 3 (or field 4), leave the field 2 setup empty, this is in case you in the future you wish to add another demographic field between them you don't need to move the ones that are already setup
• You can convert any demographic field to a drop-down list, this will allow collecting and specific answer instead of having an open field. To do so you need to press the "Values" button that is on the right side of the field, then it going to show a popup screen where you are going to be able to add all the options you wish (in case the button is not there you need to click the save button at end of page)
• For invoice-related fields, We highly recommend using menu 2.04 Invoice Address. You will find the equivalent field (for example Address_1 (on demographic fields) and Invoice_Address_1 (Invoice Address)), the advantage of this is that some reports and document templates will be able to show demographic fields if the invoice address is not supplied.
