To centralise and simplify file management, the method for adding photos to Faculty profiles has been improved. Instead of only being able to upload files from your computer one by one, the platform now integrates directly with the Media Library (Shocklogic File Manager). This means you can now search for images that have previously been uploaded to the system.
Step-by-step instructions:
- Enable editing
- Go to the Faculty Display tab within your project.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the red "Allow Editing" button. This will enable all editable fields on the profile.
- Access the Media Library
- Locate the field named "Photo". You will see a text field with the native "Choose file" button on the left.
- Click on "Choose file".
- A pop-up window containing the Media Library will immediately open.
- Select or upload an image Within the Media Library window, you have two options:
- If the image already exists in your project: Browse through your folders and simply click on the image you wish to assign to this Faculty member.
- If it is a new image: Click the "Upload" option within the Media Library window, upload the new photo from your computer and, once uploaded, select it.
- Save the changes
- Upon selecting the image, the Media Library window will close automatically.
- You will be able to see the exact name of the selected image in the text field next to the "Choose file" button.
- Finally, you must click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
