Usually the reason why images don't show in the PDF is the format or color depth.
The component that generates PDFs support jpg, jpeg, bmp or gif images in 16 Bit color depth and RGB color mode.
If the image is for example a png or is in 24 bit it wont show on the PDF.
I would suggest you check the format of the image you are trying to use and if it's something that is not supported, then change it.
