The Membership Validation interface can now be used to verify whether a registrant is an active member in ML directly within the PL registration form. This enhancement enables the system to automatically apply a specific set of activities based on the individual’s membership status.
By leveraging this functionality, administrators can ensure that only eligible members gain access to designated activities, streamlining the registration process and improving data accuracy.
Below are the steps to configure this feature:
Set or change the Memberlogic project:
To set up the Memberlogic project gains where are going to be made the validations you have two (2) places:
- On the Same menu (See Image here). If this is the first time you go to this menu if you didn't set any project jet.
- On the menu Menu Parameters > Participant Registration at any moment.
Setup parameters:
The setup is divided basically into 4 sections (Main Setup, Default Data Members, Default Data NON-Members, and Validation cases)
Setup parameters - Main Setup
In this section, you must set up the basic information to be able to continue. Here you will find 3 fields
Activity group for member type: Here you would set the activity group or groups where the option to select if is a Member or not member. (This Option is going to filter the "Member Activity" fields to show only the activities below to the selected group or groups).
Activity group for registration type: Here you would set the activity group or groups where the option to select the type of registration the participant would have. (This Option is going to filter the "Registration Type Activity" fields to show only the activities below to the selected group or groups).
Membership Number Field: Here you would set the Free Field where the Membership number is going to be filled automatically.
Setup parameters - Default Data Members
These are the default options the participant is going to get if is found as a complete member on Memberlogic and doesn't meet any of the case validation criteria.
Member Activity: Set if on the registration it going to be considered as Member or No-Member.
Registration Type Activity: Set the type of registration that must be under this condition.
Setup parameters - Default Data NON-Members
These are the default options the participant is going to get if is not found as a complete member on Memberlogic.
Member Activity: Set if on the registration it going to be considered as Member or No-Member.
Registration Type Activity: Set the type of registration that must be under this condition.
Setup parameters - Validation cases
Member Type: Select the member type or types that you want to validate against.
Member Activity: Set if on the registration it going to be considered as Member or No-Member if matches with any of the member types
Registration Activity: Set the type of registration that must be under this condition.
Control Category: Here you add validation category or categories in addition to the type to have another type of registration
Registration Activity by Category: Set in here the category that the participant is going to get if matches with any of the member types and it has any of the selected control categories.
Important Note: This validation is triggered with the email only when the form is loaded. If this field is empty at that moment and becomes filled later the validation will not be triggered again.
this means that the validation is only going to work if the email field is pre-populated (by opening from the profile or opening the form link through an external integration with us.

Can the Membership Number at any place on the form, and when it is filled out, pre-populate all Demographic details?
Yes, the membership number can be placed at any place on the form and will be filled correctly according to the configured setup.
Can membership be validated by email?
Yes, membership can be validated by the unique email associated with each member.
Can membership be validated by membership number (Member Id)?
No, this validation only checks against the email due is one of the fields prepopulated with the acurated information.
