An improvement has been added to the Next-Generation Membership Form. Users can now easily update or replace documents (such as qualifications or certificates) that were previously uploaded for members.
It is no longer necessary to delete and recreate a group member just to correct a wrong file. Two simple methods have been introduced to allow users to update documents directly from the form.
Method 1: The Quick Update (Directly from the table)
If only the uploaded document needs to be changed and no other details require editing, this is the fastest method.
- Navigate to the list of added members on the registration form.
- Locate the member whose document requires updating.
In the Qualification Upload column, directly next to the "View file" link, a small pencil icon is now visible.
- Click the pencil icon. The computer's file browser will open automatically.
- Select the new document to be uploaded (PDF, Word, or Image).
- Wait a few seconds whilst the file uploads. Once finished, a success message will appear, confirming that the new document has successfully replaced the old one.
Method 2: The Full Update (Whilst editing member details)
If it is necessary to correct an member's name, qualification type, or date awarded at the same time as updating their document, all changes can be made at once using the Edit menu.
- In the list of added engineers, locate the Actions column on the far right.
- Click the pencil icon in this column to edit the member's details.
- The "Edit Member" window will appear on the screen.
At the bottom of this window, a newly added Qualification Upload field is now available.
- Click the "Choose File" button to browse the computer and select the new document.
- Make any other necessary changes to the engineer's details, and then click Save changes.
- The system will securely update the member's details and replace the previous document with the new one.
